The Stockholm East area includes the two closed prisons Österåker and Täby. Here, we primarily employ correctional officers, but also healthcare personnel, teachers, administrators, production leaders, and other important professions. The clients at the prisons are engaged in activities such as education, treatment programs, workshop work, and assembly and packaging tasks – all to create structure, meaning, and conditions for a better future.

Österåker prison is in an exciting expansion phase with new prison places and employment facilities coming into operation between 2025 and 2027. There are great opportunities to grow with the organization – both in terms of the number of employees and in new, exciting roles. The prison is located outside Åkersberga – perfect for those who appreciate avoiding rush hour traffic. Car is the easiest way to get here. Täby prison is a small facility with a family-like environment and good commuting options. Both prisons offer staff parking.

We care about a health-promoting work environment - therefore, there is a staff gym at Österåker prison. There is also a well-regarded staff restaurant where you can eat and socialize with your colleagues.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the leadership of the correctional officer (nearest supervisor), you as a client caseworker will be responsible for the overall client work. You will be responsible for around 50 clients with whom you will have direct contact. The work involves planning, following up, and ensuring the quality of the work with clients' execution planning, as well as preparing and making decisions according to prison and administrative laws in accordance with delegation. This may involve, for example, permission cases, misconduct, and financial matters related to the client's execution. Your task includes making assessments based on applicable regulations, guidelines, and practices. Collaboration with other parts of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service and other authorities occurs frequently. Other administrative tasks may also arise.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who easily collaborates with others, communicates clearly, and speaks, acts, and decides with good judgment. You make correct assessments and priorities, are meticulous, and pay attention to goals and quality even under high workloads or temporary assignments. You have the ability to see the big picture, consider the broader perspective, and act in accordance with made decisions, policies, and guidelines.

You are also aware of and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect yourself and others. REQUIREMENTS

• University or college education with a legal or behavioral science focus or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Experience in case management/administration

PREFERABLE

• Completed the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's basic training
• Experience in client casework at a prison
• Experience from correctional services, security work, social care, psychiatry, or healthcare and social care work
• Experience in handling tasks that involve legal decisions and guidance assignments
• Good administrative law knowledge
• Good knowledge of relevant legislation, especially sentence calculation
